A former Olyroos cyclist has been charged with a string of alleged drug dealing offences.
Patrick Bobridge, who won a bronze medal in his second season in the Olympic Games, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis with intent to supply on October 7 in connection with offences including cannabis in a public place and drug trafficking.
The 20-year-old from Glenroy, Co Meath, was released on bail after he failed to appear at his court hearing in Ballina this morning.
He was ordered to report on Wednesday for a drug test and has been remanded in custody until a hearing in Cork later today.
Judge Catherine Corley, adjourned proceedings and ordered that bail for Bobridge be increased until 20 November.
It is understood he was arrested on an unrelated drug-related charge on the night of August 20, 2015 in the Glenroy area of town.
His offence was the subject of an appeal to the High Court by former Olympian Mike Keane who was sentenced to 15 months in prison in May 2016 007 카지노for trafficking drugs in a public place.
The Irishman appealed his sentence after claiming that when he was arrested on his own property for possessing cannabis the police officer did not believe it was legal.
