Far north qld health service gets budget boost, $2m spent on clinics
A health service that receives billions of dollars a year from the state will see its budget increase by $2 million.
The Government announced the $1.7 million allocation for a two-year phase three research program for northern Queensland health last week.
Premier Campbell Newman has said that’s more than he needs.

Mr Newman said the funding would help improve health outcomes for people in the north of the state.

Mr Young said funding for community programs was also needed in his north Queensland.
“It’s got to be very difficult to live, and even more difficult in a community that is already struggling to get basic needs of community-based health,” he said.
The Premier said the program will focus on early childhood development, mental health and community support.
“I have very strong thoughts that this should be, at this stage, not just funding for the cancer and community services but also education on a range of subjects,” he said.
“We do need community education so that people can begin to build their community더킹카지노 in the north of Queensland and, hopefully, the people of northern Queensland.
